Compassionate Ear
Compassionate Ear is a listening service for individuals with mental illness, administered and run by consumers of mental health services.

  • Provides non-clinical, non-crisis supportive listening, coping strategies, information, and provides a reprieve from loneliness and isolation.
  • Compassionate Ear WarmLine can be reached at 913-281-2251 (or toll free at 1-866-Warm Ear) from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., 365 days per year, including holidays.
  • Compassionate Ear offers training, employment, and volunteer opportunities for persons with mental illness. Calls are routed to the operator's home in order to create a volunteer opportunity that is accessible to many individuals.
